Privacy and Security Policy

Security and Privacy, Generally

In many software companies today, security seems to take a backseat to things like money and time. Operis Systems considers this a dangerous and negligent attitude. Therefore, Operis Systems has adopted this Privacy and Security Policy to guide it's operations and to protected itself and it's clients.

Security

Operis Systems promises to

  1. build-in security to it's services from the very beginning, not as an afterthought,
  2. continually research and learn new methods in the field of information security,
  3. have a certified Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professional approve all services, and
  4. respond as quickly as possibly to all detected security breaches and compromises.

Privacy

Operis Systems does not see privacy as something that is especially complex; so, here is how we deal with our clients's privacy: We will not divulge any personally identifiable information (including email addresses) to any third-party unless we

  1. have the individual's or organization's consent,
  2. must to comply with the law,
  3. must to prevent imminent harm to person(s) or property, or
  4. must to enforce contracts or agreements.

One special note (some may call this an exception) is that Operis Systems may display work in it's portfolio in a manner that does not compromise any person's or organization's privacy or breach prior agreements.
